The First Annual Pink Ladies Spaghetti Dinner, organized by the women of Worden Insurance, was held on October 6, 2009 at Remezzo's Italian Bistro in Scarborough.
Some 60 ladies dressed in pink pajamas and slippers attended the dinner -some even sported curlers to complete their attire! The event drew expected glances from onlookers as well as generous donations with all proceeds going to WICC.
Guest speaker, Marie Poce(photo), gave a heartfelt speech about her battle with breast cancer. The room was moved by her words and her experience and presented Marie with a special gift in appreciation.
Thanks to the event's 42 generous sponsors, some wonderful prizes were also given away, including $1,500, $1,000 and $500 in travel vouchers. Event organizers would like to thank their sponsors:
