Our country is a world leader in cancer research and clinical trials, and WICC has raised significant funds on behalf of the Canadian Cancer Society toward this research,” says company president, Jon Ouellette. “WICC is a great organization run entirely by volunteers, and we are proud to be a part of its success. FirstOnSite

FirstOnSite Restoration Platinum Sponsor

FirstOnSite Restoration is pleased to announce its selection of the Women in Insurance Cancer Crusade (WICC) as its chosen charity for national sponsorship.

As an organization we wanted to financially support an established and proven charitable movement. Canceris an insidious and continuing life threat that inherently touches and affects the lives of so many around us.

WICC has proven itself since its inception in 1996 and the momentum and recognition gained over the years is proven by the increased financial support being generated by individuals and companies throughout our industry. We are honoured to join those WICC Volunteers and Partners and are extremely committed to maximizing our activities through our 1200+ employees at the local, regional and corporate levels to further enhance our contribution.

I began supporting WICC in 2003 with fundraising and have received a Gold Flame Award in recognition for these efforts. Little did I suspect that in 2004, my own wife Rhonda would contract breast cancer. Over the next four and one-half years our family did what most families do, sought to bear the burden of our personal experience and keep it hidden from those we encountered during that painful time. Rhonda fought this personal struggle with profound grace and valour but succumbed in the summer of 2008.

I became very much aware of the benefits of what charitable organizations like WICC do for cancer research, treatment and support and am pleased to be with an organization that also supports WICC.

Supreme Collision Centre

Supreme Collision Centre    Platinum Sponsor

Supreme Collision is honored to become the first collision network in Canada to endorse WICC as a national platinum level sponsor. As an organization we have always supported a variety of charities within our respective communities. In 2009 we decided we wanted to associate our organization with a charity that shared our core values and was capable of helping people on a national level. Knowing that 40% of women and 45% of men will develop cancer during their lifetime and that 166,000 new cases are recorded each year, was a significant factor in our decision. It was important for Supreme Collision to support a charity that touched people of all ages and helped to reduce their suffering and still allow them to retain their dignity.

After several months of research the choice was evident that Supreme Collision would affiliate itself with WICC as our national charity of choice on merit. We were impressed with the fact WICC is a volunteer based charity which donates 100% of every dollar to the Canadian Cancer Society to help further research and support people. Only through the perseverance of medical professionals and the financial support of sponsors and donors will we be able to find a cure for cancer.

I would like to congratulate the board of WICC and the many volunteers who have given countless hours of their time selfishly to help others. It certainly reaffirmed our decision and we look forward to supporting WICC as a National Platinum Sponsor for many years to come.

Marty Reddick, President
