The support for the Women in Insurance
Cancer Crusade ( )
by the insurance industry has been overwhelming since its inception in 1996.
We have seen grass roots support across Canada as well as sold-out events.
Individuals from our industry continue to donate hundreds of hours of their
time to raise money and make every event an overwhelming success.
has come a long way since its inception. We now have chapters in Ontario,
Alberta and British Columbia, as well as support from the Maritimes. We have
exceeded the $3,500,000 level of donation and are well on our way to
reaching the next level of $4,000,000.
It should not come as a surprise to us, but our corporate friends in the
industry have asked us how they can make even more of an impact in the fight
against cancer. In response, we at
have done a couple of things:
- developed a National Sponsorship program
to compliment the regional event sponsorship
- expanded our mandate to include all forms
of cancer, in addition to our on-going support for breast cancer
Regional “Event Sponsorship” Programs
Presently, each
Chapter host their own fund raising events in order to bring their local
communities together to raise funds for their local Canadian Cancer
Society (CCS) chapter. Opportunities to be a Regional “Event Sponsor”
will continue to enable sponsors a cost-effective marketing approach
intended to reach their local insurance community and demographic.

National Sponsorship Program
The recently launched National Sponsorship program enables companies to
extend their support to
nationally. Depending upon the chosen sponsorship level, companies will
receive recognition by their selected
Chapters at local events and through local publications. Depending on
the sponsorship level, some of our National Sponsors have enjoyed the
use of the
logo with their presentation media – putting the
logo onto their business cards, website, and marketing material.
